Copywriter, Copywriting

1.   Estimate

An initial indication of price whether in writing or verbally is considered purely an estimate and may differ from the formal quotation.

 2.  Formal quotation request

On receipt of a request from the client for a formal quotation further clarification of the client’s requirements may be sought after which a formal quotation will be forwarded to the client.  

 3. Formal acceptance of quotation

Formal acceptance of quotation must be received by Jot Copywriting in writing (by email, mail or fax).  Work will commence only on receipt of this written approval and 50% of fee (see point no. 4)

 4. Deposit
 A non refundable deposit of 50% of the total quoted is payable prior to commencement of the project. 

5. Payment

Final payment is due within 14 days of completion of the project.  Whilst any payment due under the agreement remains outstanding, the project copy remains the property of Jot Copywriting until payment is received in full.

Payment is required on completion of quoted and approved material regardless of whether it is used for the purposes for which it was intended.

 6.   Rights to material

Jot Copywriting retains copyright over the copy produced for the project.  The client has the right to use the copy for the purposes for which it was intended.  All or part of the copywriting including the finished product complete with graphic design created for this project can be used for marketing purposes for and by Jot Copywriting.  

 7.  Privacy

 Jot Copywriting will not forward client details to any third party unless express consent is given by the client and where a third party is involved in the creation of the project and therefore deemed necessary to complete the project. 

 8. Revisions

 This quote includes two set of revisions.  All revisions thereafter will be charged at $80 per hour.   Should the client require any major revisions which are not in accordance with the brief, Jot Copywriting reserves the right to re-quote the project.

 9. Proof reading

Please note this quote does not include proofreading.

10. Graphic Design
This quote is for copywriting only and does not include graphic design.

 11. Material supplied

Jot Copywriting assumes that all material and information supplied by the client is legal and correct and Jot Copywriting takes no responsibility for the material and the way in which it is used following approval by the client.
